It's the first week of Summer and Sim's everywhere are planning for big summer plans! Vacations are being booked left and right and the pools grand opening was a smash! This summer is going to rock down in Pleasantview. I took the time to go door to door around Pleasantview and catch up with the local families. Hear what they have to say about summer, and what their big plans are.
First stop was the Goth's house. Their new house that is. Mortimer and Alex were outside loading up the SUV while Dina and the toddler (Chloe) were sleeping in inside the home. "A big summer getaway!" Exclaimed Mortimer when I asked him of his summer plans. "We're packing up and heading to our summer home along the ocean." The retired life seemed to be doing wonders for Mortimer. He spent his time doing relaxed studies. Now him and family are spending their summer in their new Beach House just outside of town. When I asked him if Cassandra, Don, and the grandkids would be joining them on this summer shindig he replied,"I think they have other plans this summer." Have fun Mortimer and family.
So before we went to any other homes, we stopped in at the Lothario's. At first ring, nobody answered, sure enough, we found the whole family enjoying lunch out back. "We're spending our summer in the neighborhood" Don told us. Cassandra, Trevor, Madeline, and Don were going to do as much as they could together this summer, but they couldn't afford to take it out of town, and the two still needed to work most days. "We're going roller blading, out to the pool, to the park, anywhere and everywhere we can!" Cassandra told us. Seems like this family is going to try it all.
We stopped in at the Broke Household next. Dustin was fixing out an old car out front and Beau and Skip Jr. were running around the yard having a water balloon fight. We found Brandi inside reading the paper. "Summer plans? We're just going to enjoy a nice, relaxing summer at home. The boys know they can have their friends over at any time, and we have plenty to do around here." Brandi told us. Seems like this family isn't going to let a little money problem ruin their summer.
Next it was off to the Caliente home where we found Nina tanning out front. "I take off for the beach tomorrow" She told us. "Hanging out with all my friends and perhaps finding a local casino or something." Nina may have been a tad hurt and shocked when sister Dina left home to become a part of Mortimer's life, but she seems to be over it now. She even mentioned several dates she had lined up. "Mark, Jon, Derek......" We finally just had to break her off.
We had tried the Dreamers' home, but no one appeared to be there. They must have started their vacation early, so off we went to the Pleasant's. They had done some...remodeling. Instead of their normal, nice, big home, we found two smaller homes on opposite ends of the property. A quick knock on the first home and Mary Sue answered, very upset. "I'm not doing anything this summer!" She...um...nicely told us. "Daniel and that maid wife of his took my girls and their NEW twins and headed out to the Middle East!" She didn't seem to happy. "They're off on vacation, and I'm stuck here working! I can't believe him what a...." We slowly backed away at this moment.
And that's the Pleasantview residents' plans this summer. Sounds like it's going to be a fun and busy summer! Fall will only be here too quickly. Have a great summer everyone!
